In the heart of Saxony, near Breunsdorf, we had the opportunity to carry out a demanding large-scale project in the field of renewable energy. For a new wind farm in the Vereinigtes Schleenhain open-cast lignite mine, we installed a total of 15,000 meters of medium-voltage cable using our powerful cable plough system – a significant contribution to the energy transition.
The installation included five systems of 1,000 m² (30 kV) and one system of 600 m² (30 kV). The cables were laid using both single and double configurations.
Thanks to our specialized equipment featuring a 7-drum cable transport system, we were able to install the systems not only efficiently but also with minimal ground impact and in an environmentally friendly manner – a milestone project that clearly demonstrates our expertise in large-scale energy network installations.
